Connecting to Shopify
To make use of all the features of the provider, provide the AppId, Password, and ShopUrl connection properties.
Create a Private App
You can follow the procedure below to register an app and obtain the client credentials such as the AppId, Password, and ShopUrl:
- Log in to your Shopify from the admin page and go to Apps.
- Click Manage Private Apps.
- Click Create New Private App.
- In the Description section, enter the app name and contact email.
- In Permissions section, choose the areas of your store you want to grant to your app. (The permissions required by our provider to use all the tables and views are: read_customers, write_customers, write_draft_orders, read_draft_orders, read_fulfillments, write_fulfillments, write_inventory, read_inventory, write_marketing_events, read_marketing_events, read_orders, write_orders, read_price_rules, write_price_rules, read_product_listings, write_product_listings, read_products, write_products, read_shopify_payments_payouts)
- Go back to your private apps. The API Key (AppId) of your application and its password (Password) are listed for the app.
Authenticate to Shopify
After setting the following connection properties, you are ready to connect:
- ShopUrl: Set this to the full URL of your shop (https://yourshopname.myshopify.com).
- AppId: Set this to the API Key in your private app settings.
- Password: Set this to the password in your private app settings.

Establishing a Connection with Lyftron's Quickstart Steps
Create your Shopify connection with Lyftron by following the 5 easy steps show below:
Step1. Add your connection
Click on Connect section on the left panel → Click on Add Connection button
Step2. Select your connector
In the connector selection panel, search and click Shopify for your connection
Step3. Enter your connection details
In the Connection String section enter the values of the below parameters. The following connection string is required to establish Shopify connection with Lyftron.'ShopUrl=[your_shop_URL];AppId=[your_api_key];Password=[your_password]; Timeout=300;'

Step4. Test your connection
Once you are done entering your connection details, simply click on the Test Connection button to test the connectivity. In case your connection fails, add Logfile and Verbosity parameters and check the Lyftron logging and debugging section, to debug the error.
Step5. Save your connection
You can work with all the tables in your account using the provider. The provider connects to Shopify and gets the list of tables and the metadata for the tables by calling the appropriate Web services. Any changes you make to your Wasabi account, such as adding a new table, adding new columns, or changing the data type of a column, will immediately be reflected when you connect using the provider.
