Install and configure Lyftrondata

The Installation Guide describes the process of installing a new Lyftrondata instance.

Please review the hardware requirements and prerequisites before installing Lyftrondata.

No matter how you plan to deploy Lyftrondata, the process always involves three steps: preparation, installation, and configuration.

Preparation is the process of getting the server prepared for Lyftrondata by reviewing and following the system requirements. For your convenience, the installation process runs a series of readiness checks to ensure your system meets the Lyftrondata requirements.

Installation is the process of getting Lyftrondata binaries on your server and involves running an installer obtained from an OEM or retail channels. When the installation completes, further post-installation tasks can be done during Configuration.

Configuration is the process of going through specific settings to fine-tune Lyftrondata and get it running optimally using Lyftrondata Admin Portal.

Lyftrondata Installation Quickstart Steps

Before your installation begins, as a quick reminder, here are the steps about the brief overview of the Lyftrondata installation process

Step 1: Need windows 2019 server or latest version on AWS, Azure, GCP or cloud of your choice with minimum 2 cores and 4 GB RAM.

Step 2: Need Sql Server 2019 database server or latest version on AWS, Azure, GCP or cloud of your choice.

Step 3: Install SSL on the windows server if you want to have your platform communicate over secure layer.

Step 4: Create Lyftrondata user on Sql Server 2019.

Step 5: Create Lyftrondata database on Sql Server 2019 and provide owner access to Lyftrondata user. You can create a separate databases as well for Metadata "Lyftrondata_Metadata" and Spark "Lyftrondata_Spark" objects if you don't want to create a single database. In the video we have used single database.

Step 6: Download the installation and license file sent by Lyftrondata team on the windows server.

Step 7: Start the installer with Administrator access user as shown on the video below.

Step 8: Once your installation is complete check the Lyftron service in the services section.

Step 9: Point your browser to http://localhost/#/login or https://localhost/#/login  based on SSL configuration.

Step 10: Login with admin/admin user.

Step 11: Go to Administer -> Lyftron Data License section -> Click on Change license -> Copy and paste the license sent by Lyftrondata team.

Step 12: Hurray you are all set to use the Lyftrondata platform.
